The streets of Hillyard were redone and left empty over the weekend, Summer of 2009 , giving it an especially historic look for a time, maybe not again for decades. Hillyard used to be its own town before being incorporated into Spokane in the 1920s and has some of the nicest old buildings in the city. Known for its antique shops, Market Street is a favorite place for many to wander and explore!
