About this item...

This black and white photo of a tiny Post Office in the Utah ghost town of Cisco was a great find. For a time it was the smallest still functioning post office in the country until it shut when the town thinned out. The town has a history going back to the 1880s when the west was wild. It started at a railroad town then later an oil town, eventually being abandoned in the 1960s - though there's still a few occupied homes in the area and the whole town is up for sale. For now, it sits stark in the harsh desert with beautiful old abandoned buildings and RVs, telling of a time much different from the current world. The contrast of the photo is sharp and great clouds add an extra element of mood to the image. A beautiful photo for your home!
