Obsidian Mountains, Southern California Black and White Film Photography

This is a scene near the Obsidian Mountains near Salton Sea and Salton City California. The mountains are free of plant life, deep in the desert area of southeast California and made of hard black volcanic glass. Salton City is probably my favorite town on the west edge of the Salton Sea. Filled with abandoned trailers, campers, homes, hotels and more, every direction you look is almost apocalyptic yet peaceful.
