About Lost Kat
Hi, I'm Amber "Katya" Anderson, Kat for short. I love getting lost in forests, ghost towns, and cities, witnessing history, culture, and nature doing its thing.
I'm a history and photography major who grew up mostly in the Pacific Northwest, including Eastern Washington, Northern Idaho, and Montana. I moved to Portland, Oregon, in 1999, and witnessed the beautiful West Coast scenery and city life. I lived there for 10 years studying art. I took a year off to move to Buenos Aires, Argentina, and in 2009, my partner and I decided to start our RV travels, which lasted 9 years. During all these adventures, I have collected numerous photos of nature, small-town charm, abandoned places, and both well-known and lesser-known locations.
In 2021, I moved to the southwestern mountain town of Durango, Colorado, a favorite stop on our travels! We've seen much of the US, road-tripped around the UK, visited Europe, Mexico, Spain, and Korea, and we hope to keep adding to our travels and shooting photos forever!
