Lunch Peak Lookout Tower View, Idaho Nature Photography
Lunch Peak Lookout, Sandpoint, ID- This historic wooden lookout tower resides at the top of Lunch Peak in far northern Idaho. The tower itself is actually low to the ground, only one story high, as a result of being so high atop the mountain that there was no need for it to be higher. A rough drive up forest service roads took us to the top of one of the highest mountains in the area with views for dozens of miles in all directions. A great hiking trail, a warm day, we had our lunch on lunch peak and took a long walk along the mountainside.
